Chattillon, France

Together with Thierry Amar, Pierre Soumagne and Martin Horn I form the team of Laxou. Under the eminent care of Jean-Paul Six we really enjoy playing billiards. This year we were also playing well. With high averages and strong play our two young guys excelled throughout the preliminary rounds.

Especially the away game against Courbevoie was a fine experience. Having to win to qualify for the play-offs we delivered: Soumagne won against Boudin, Horn against Leppens and I managed to beat Dani Sanchez.

Just before the play-offs in Chattillon Thierry Amar withdrew due to his new job. He was replaced by Eric Kremer. And Soumagne advanced to third place in our team. In the semi final against Andernos Horn beat De Backer twice but I lost one of my matches against Forthomme. An unlucky 49 to 50 loss for Kremer and Francis Connesson beeing to strong for Soumagne sealed our fate. We had to play for third place against Clichy.

Horn drew with Merckx and as the rest of us had no chance we had to settle for fourth place. AGIPI became champion and it was no surprise.
