The beautiful Rixos Hotel in Tekirova hosted the first World cup of 2012. At the same time national events in 3-cushion and Pool were taking place in different rooms making it a real happening with lots of players present.

2012 started the same way 2011 did. The only difference was the location. Last year in Helsingborg and this year in Malmö David Pennör was my final opponent.

Going to Hurghada with a big lead in the World Cup was nothing that I had planned. My flight was booked for Monday with my first match on Thursday which meant three days without playing. On the other hand it was a good opportunity to relax and recharge. Sanchez and Caudron could still catch me and the overall victory was far from clinched.

Next World Cup location was the “Wiener Stadthalle” in Vienna. First time for the Austrian organizers but an experienced team made a good job. Franz Stenzel, an excellent player himself and president of the Austrian federation, conducted the operation.

As a 3-cushion professional I travel all around the world playing tournaments and exhibition matches. I also teach and put up trick-shot exhibitions. Even pool events are part of my repertoire. My first title was the Scandinavian Championships back in 1981. After that I won 5 World, 8 European and 23 Swedish Championships. I won 39 World Cup tournaments and the overall World Cup on 10 occasions. 50 points in 9 innings is my best game.
